# Economy

## Economic metaverse

The economic metaverse is a virtual meta world built on the financial system and laws.

The metaverse is a hypothesized Internet iteration, supporting persistent online 3D virtual environments through conventional personal computing and virtual and augmented reality headsets. Metaverses have already been implemented in video games such as Second Life In some limited form.

Our plan for the Minerio is big, but we want to keep it simple and practical for everyone. This guiding principle is there to make sure things are not over-complicated. To do this, exceptions need to be defined, and rules must be implemented. Our goal is to create a metaverse system where you can trade, work and be a part of a new evolving economy.

## Play to Earn

Play-to-earn means that players of games can earn rewards and even money in games. GameFi is the hottest and newest thing in nowadays in the cryptocurrency world.\
GameFi, representing the combination of decentralized finance (DeFi) and gaming, operates under a play-to-earn model instead of play-to-win.

As for the definition of GameFi, there will be a big question, how players can earn money and have monetization with a play-to-earn mechanism. All of these come up with NFTs (non-fungible tokens).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://whitepaper.minerio.net/ecosystem/economy.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
